A Day in Davao Crocodile Park

Davao Crocodile Park is one of the tourist destinations in Davao City. It is also one of the most famous school excursion itinerary for preschool and elementary students. In my 30 years of living in Davao City, I have only gone to Davao Crocodile Park once in the year 1994. I was in 4th grade and there were only snakes and crocodile in the park. You can find its location at the Corporate City grounds, Diversion Road, Brgy Maa, Davao City.

So recently me and mom were discussing about prenup locations in Davao and I mentioned the Crocodile Park. She revealed to me that she has not been to the Davao Crocodile Park all her life. It was a Wednesday when we decided on the spot to visit the Crocodile Park and my Ellie was the most excited child on earth.

This is the welcome signage of  Davao Crocodile Park. Of course, it is mandatory to take a selfie in this area.

We went further inside to the information and cashier. At the moment, the entrance fees are as follows:

Regular Adult (12y/o above): 250 Pesos
Children below 12y/o: 150 Pesos
Senior Citizens 60 y/o and up (Bring your ID): 150 Pesos

We paid the necessary fees and went excitedly inside. Here are the pictures of the animals you can see inside. There are statues of animals that you can pose a photo with. My mom and Ellie rode on a crocodile statue.

There are also other statues of Snake, Elephant, Monkey and Lion. There were other tourists in the park so we had to wait for our chances to have our pictures on these statues.

Another huge snake
The snakes were not moving much
Further along, this magnificent Siberian tiger was resting its head under the shady tree in the middle of a hot noon time.

Inside the "Wild Animals Area" you can personally have a photo with these two Maccaw birds. There is a fee of 40 pesos and you can get an instant printed copy of your picture with the birds.

Ellie is not moving with two birds on her arms.
Ellie is very careful not to disturb the birds.
Another wonderful experience in this park is your close encounter with hundreds of Koi fishes in this big pond. The park attendants will offer you food fish for 20 pesos to feed the fishes.

As much as she was amazed with the fishes, she was also very amused with the hares in their fences. You can also feed the rabbits for 20 pesos a stick with a carrot on one end.

There are also goats and guinea pigs in their fences next to these rabbit fences. Further along is another pond where the swans and ducks happily spends time in the water.

We ventured further onto the wooden bamboo bridge and saw some goats, wild boar, and ostriches. There were lots of exotic birds too.

Hundreds of crocodiles inside different sized cages.
There were also a Palawan Bear, an Urangutan, a monkey, some turtles, a Lion, species of fowls and eagles, different lizards and reptiles and many more animals I haven't encountered even in the internet.

We had so much fun in the park especially my daughter had so much fun with the animals that she asked me to go back here again everyday after we went here. She loved the animals especially the Koi fishes where we stayed a little longer feeding them slowly.

We had a little snack before we went home with happy memories in one sunny wednesday at Davao Crocodile Park. Truly it was a bonding moment for us three generations of wonderful women and little lady.
